Editorial Methodology
How LongevityNext Scores Evidence, Claims, Maturity, and Transparency
The framework is designed to make uncertainty visible and to separate scientific signal from commercial overclaim.
LN Evidence Score
- 0 speculative hypothesis
- 1 mechanistic or preclinical only
- 2 human observational or biomarker evidence
- 3 small human trial or surrogate endpoint evidence
- 4 strong clinical trial evidence in a defined population
- 5 replicated outcomes, accepted endpoints, real-world validation, or regulatory-grade evidence
Claim Risk Score
Measures how much public positioning appears to extrapolate beyond the evidence, with higher scores flagging disease, cure, reversal, or unsupported human longevity claims.
Commercial Maturity Score
Tracks whether an entity is a concept, early startup, funded platform, commercial operator, or mature market participant.
Clinic Transparency Score
Assesses whether clinics describe governance, diagnostic rationale, adverse-event process, follow-up, and outcomes reporting.
Editorial Rules
LongevityNext does not provide medical advice, individualized treatment recommendations, disease-cure claims, or unsupported longevity claims. Records distinguish animal, preclinical, observational, biomarker, clinical-trial, and outcome evidence wherever possible.
Corrections and source updates should preserve the audit trail and update last-reviewed dates.
